Background:

A to B Communications were engaged in the spring of 2015 by Prudential Group Data Services.

The Opportunity:

Due to a multi-million pound refit of their offices in Reading there was a requirement to provide diverse fibre and Category 6 cabling between their main data centre and remote equipment rooms over two separate buildings.

The Solution:

Basket containment was installed between the two buildings through suspended ceilings and in the risers. The data centre was a very sensitive area with any unplanned down time being potentially very costly. The cables were installed, terminated and commissioned out of hours to minimise disruption to Prudential employees and on a very tight timescale to enable services to be cut over before the refurbishment works commenced.

A to B tendered a competitive price on a challenging timeline with strong security and access constraints - due to the substantial building works. AtoB were reliable, punctual and flexible - they delivered a high quality installation on time and to cost. I would have no hesitation in using them again or recommending them to other organisations
